Our client is one of South Africa’s largest franchise retailers and is looking for a Deli Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible. The position is based in Rondebosch, Cape Town.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the daily operations of a deli, including food preparation, customer service, and inventory management.
Train and supervise deli staff.
Food preparation:
Ensure food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Inventory management:
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Order supplies as needed.
Ensure the deli section is properly stocked at all times.
Predict demand and ensure minimal waste.
Customer service:
Engage with customers at the service counter to provide excellent service.
Address customer concerns.
Answer any questions.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Retail-related qualifications will be beneficial.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
3 – 5 Years’ experience in a similar position.
Retail experience (Deli experience will be an added advantage).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent customer service abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
