Job Title: Commercial Property Caretaker

Location: Brakpan (On-Site)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Salary: Up to R15 000.00 Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee maintenance for buildings, stores, and company houses.
2. Supervise and coordinate work of plumbers, electricians, and roofers.
3. Perform and schedule routine DIY maintenance tasks (painting, minor plumbing repairs, carpentry, electrical work).
4. Assess maintenance problems, determine solutions, and create action plans.
5. Develop and manage maintenance schedules for regular inspections and repairs.
6. Maintain a log of maintenance issues and track progress.
7. Manage maintenance supplies and equipment, coordinating with suppliers for materials.
8. Use own vehicle for transportation to maintenance sites (fuel expenses covered).

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in property maintenance and general DIY tasks.
2. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and roofing work.
3. Skilled in various DIY tasks.
4. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and schedules.
5. Effective problem-solving abilities to assess and diagnose maintenance issues.
6. Supervisory skills to coordinate and ensure quality work from contractors.
7. Good communication skills for interacting with contractors, suppliers, and property occupants.
8. Own vehicle required for transportation to maintenance sites (fuel expenses covered).
9. Flexibility to handle emergencies and unexpected maintenance issues.
10. Reliability and dependability in managing property maintenance tasks.
