Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Logistics Manager at Lemon in our Cape Town office. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing international and local logistics for our furniture orders that is dispatched from our various factories and warehouse facilities worldwide.

• Coordinate Shipping Activities:Oversee the shipment of furniture products from the manufacturing facility to distribution centres, retailers, and customers. Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labelled, and documented for accurate tracking.
• Manage Transportation:Arrange transportation services, including trucking, freight forwarding, and courier services. Negotiate rates with carriers to optimize cost-efficiency while maintaining service quality.
• Customs Compliance:Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements for shipments to overseas customers. Prepare and maintain documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export declarations.
• Resolve Shipping Issues:Address any shipping delays, damages, or discrepancies promptly and effectively. Work closely with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
• Optimize Shipping Processes:Continuously evaluate and improve shipping processes to streamline operations and reduce costs. Identify opportunities for automation, technology integration, and workflow enhancements.
• Communication:Provide timely updates to the customer concierge department regarding the status of their orders, including tracking information and delivery schedules. Address any inquiries or concerns related to shipping and logistics with professionalism and courtesy.
• Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of shipping activities, including shipping logs, delivery confirmations, and freight bills. Generate regular reports on shipping performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery rates and shipping costs
