Job Description
Your duties will encompass:
Tracking and managing the inventory of materials and equipment on site, and coordinating with site managers and contractors to avoid shortages or delays.
Managing suppliers internationally and handling the import process.
Reviewing and approving invoices and payments, and resolving any issues or disputes with the suppliers.
Evaluating and monitoring the performance and quality of the suppliers, and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Keeping accurate and updated records of orders, deliveries, payments, and supplier evaluations.
Following the company’s policies and procedures, and adhering to the health and safety regulations and standards.
Researching and identifying potential suppliers of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects.
Requesting and comparing quotations, specifications, and delivery terms from various suppliers.
Negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers, ensuring compliance with the project budget and specifications.
Placing orders and confirming delivery dates, quantities, and quality of the purchased items.
Maintaining records of orders, invoices, and payments, and monitoring the quality and performance of the suppliers.
Qualifications
Degree in procurement, supply chain management, engineering, or related field.
Skills
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a purchaser/buyer in construction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced on Excel.
Knowledge of the construction materials, equipment, and services market and suppliers.
Work experience in hospitality and solar procurement is advantageous.
