The Chief of Staff acts as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Executive General Manager: SA Operations. This role involves effective decision making, programme management, and execution of the business strategy and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Operations Performance
Track business performance against key strategic short-, medium- and long-term objectives.
Compile performance reports for internal and external executive business review.
Collaborate with the Executive in an advisory capacity on overall themes, opportunities, and challenges.
Lead the strategic business planning process, including capability and initiatives to realize the business vision and aspirations.
Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through to successful execution under senior leadership guidance.
Act as liaison between key internal stakeholders and the Executive/Senior leadership team.
Coordinate reporting of stakeholder engagements and dissemination of reports.
Track key actions to ensure accurate and timely execution and resolution.
Manage financial and human resources functions for optimal management of function and reporting units.
External Stakeholder Management
Act as liaison between key external stakeholders and the Executive/Senior leadership team.
Coordinate reporting needs of stakeholders and stakeholder engagements and dissemination of reports.
Track key actions to ensure accurate and timely execution and resolution.
Business Performance
Track and review key short-, medium- and long-term business metrics.
Advise on and initiate corrective actions for off-target business metrics.
Background/Experience
Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or equivalent.
Post-graduate qualification or MBA is advantageous.
10-15 years' Commercial and Manufacturing experience, or related industry experience.
Experience leading initiatives on a strategic production site, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
