Synopsis

The IDC Dealmakers Programme:

All successful applicants will be trained on the three major aspects of the IDC Due Diligence Process, namely Marketing, Financial and Technical Analysis. The candidates will be given both classroom and on-the-job training.

This position will be based on a 3-year (36 months) Fixed Term contract.


Job Description

Fixed Term Contract position exists within the Learning & Development Department for Business Analysts to be trained as IDC Deal Makers at our Head Office in Sandton.


Qualification and Experience

Formal Qualification

4-year degree in Science (Chemistry/Physics/Agriculture) OR Mathematics OR Engineering.

MBA/MBL will be an added advantage.

Experience

Min: 3-5 years related work experience (in the relevant qualification/discipline).


Roles and Responsibilities

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  1. Completing the prescribed training programme, and clearing disciplines in the required time frame.
  2. Conducting initial basic assessments of applications for finance.
  3. Conducting due diligence studies for investment decision purposes, with specific reference to marketing, technical and financial aspects.
  4. Preparation of financial projections as an integral part of the due diligence.
  5. Preparation and presentation of reports to a committee for an investment decision.
  6. Handling enquiries pertaining to investments, internal as well as from potential clients.
  7. Building and maintaining good relationships with clients.
  8. Monitoring of and reporting on all investments on a regular basis.
  9. Performing all administrative duties associated with the role of a deal maker.
