Finance Manager
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end financial reporting cycle, including but not limited to payment processing, day-to-day bookkeeping functions, monthly management accounts, cash flow analysis, forecasting, review of financial statements, reporting, tax compliance, risk analysis, and annual budgeting process. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance and provide functional management and leadership to the staff involved with the execution of financial functions.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
You will manage the day-to-day bookkeeping functions and manage the accounts receivable and the accounts payable. You will oversee expenditure and approve major financial transactions. You will prepare income tax returns and associated supporting documentation. You will maintain an accurate record of all accruals as well as cash flow analysis and forecasting. You will ensure that all transactions are recorded in the accounting system accurately and within agreed timelines. You will generate and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards. You will manage supplier management consistent with Sigma’s BBBEE strategy. You will ensure that tax returns are accurate and completed on time and that no interest or penalties are incurred. You will make sure that Sigma maintains a tax-compliant record and ensure that all accruals accurately reflect planned income & expenditure.
You will prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets and short-term departmental plans and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities. You will provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and assist in developing and monitoring budgets for different departments. You will ensure that expenses align with budgetary constraints and analyze costs, pricing, and the company’s actual performance compared to budget. You will identify cost saving opportunities and implement financial controls.
You will develop trends and projections for Sigma’s finances and conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. You will manage audit and maintain accurate financial records and prepare and manage the DTIC grant application process, and maintain professional relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders. You will provide accurate information as requested by the Group and drive B-BBEE strategy for overall compliance and qualifying criteria for key areas of Procurement, Supplier and Enterprise Development. You will ensure that payroll is released for payment accurately on the agreed deadline dates and ensure that monthly tax clearance is adhered to. You will lead and manage the finance team by providing training, guidance and by performing performance evaluations for team members.
