Store Manager: Sunglass Hut

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced retail Store Managers to supervise a Sunglass Hut retail store in Gateway, La Lucia, Pavillion and Watercrest Mall.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales

1. Manage the sales plan for the store
2. Set individual targets for the Sales Associates
3. Actively monitor and drive sales daily

People Management

1. Manage work schedules to optimise staffing according to peak trading times
2. Coach, mentor and motivate staff to deliver the best results
3. Ensure appropriate performance management is implemented to achieve KPI’s
4. Assist with the recruitment, training and development of high-quality Sales Associates
5. Facilitate on-the-job staff training in accordance with company policies and procedures
6. Ensure accurate completion of all daily, weekly and monthly store administration tasks
7. Actively build customer relationships and provide an excellent customer experience
8. Respond to all customer queries and escalations in an effective, professional and timely manner

Stock Control

1. Maintain inventory control and secure all merchandise
2. Plan, implement and monitor stock takes
3. Manage shrinkage levels to within the targeted ratio

Store Operations

1. Visual Merchandising as per company guidelines
2. Campaign set up and execution
3. Supervise the financial operations of the store, including the completion of control sheets, banking and daily cash reconciliation checks
4. Perform audits and checks to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Grade 12
2. Previous retail experience with a strong preference for fashion and/or luxury retail experience
3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets
4. Minimum of 2+ years’ people management experience
