Quality Controller
Reference: Pta-VLR-1

We are looking for a Quality Controller for the City Deep area in Johannesburg South to assist in ensuring adherence to food-safety standard requirements and meeting or exceeding both internal and external customer expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Understanding of the Quality procedures and site GMP requirements
2. Ensuring Quality and Hygiene procedures and checks are in place and up-to-date
3. Ensuring Food standards in respect of safety, legality, and customer requirements are met
4. Controlling quality, training, internal auditing, aiding investigations for customer complaints; and ensuring remedial action is promptly taken to ensure the issue does not occur again
5. A comprehensive understanding of food standards in respect of safety, legality, and customer requirements
6. Responsible for Quality Management System tasks which include:
1. Process control checks
2. Hygiene / GMP inspection
3. Foreign body hunts and checks
4. Traceability
5. Non-conformance (alerts and investigations)

Requirements

1. Grade 12
2. Excellent MS Office applications
3. Minimum 2 years' experience in a related role
4. Hands-on active approach
5. Good organisational skills
6. Ability to use own initiative
7. Self-driven and self-motivated
8. Basic level logical thought ability
9. Well organised and ability to handle pressure
10. Energetic, committed and self-reliant individual
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
12. Accountability
13. Strategic thinker
14. Good presentation skills
