OPERATIONS MANAGER (MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY) - NORTHERN KZN

RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced OPERATIONS MANAGER (MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY) for a well-established concern, position based in the Northern KwaZulu-Natal area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Grade 12.
2. Diploma / Degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering discipline (essential).
3. Diploma / Degree in Production and Operations Management.
4. Business Management Diploma / Degree (an added advantage).
5. Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
6. Competent computer skills (MS Office / Email). Previous working experience on Syspro and Shopware.
7. 10yrs+ previous working experience as an Operation’s Manager within a manufacturing environment.
8. Experience managing inbound (freight clearing, forwarding and receipting) and outbound logistics (dispatch and distribution).
9. Experience implementing and working with warehouse management systems and tools – warehouse layout, stacking, barcoding and scanning, binning, traceability.
10. Full responsibility for inventory control and procedures (on site and off site) – cycle counting, month-end stock counts and reconciliations, annual auditing (external).
11. Supplier contract negotiating (pricing, annual review, audits and evaluation).
12. Quality system compliance (ISO 9000, FSSC 22000).
13. Responsible for Health, Safety, Security, Fire and Risk.
14. Extensive production planning experience within a complex environment.
15. Must have a very good understanding of production and process flows.
16. Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical applications (maintenance, machines, projects).
17. Manage all IT requirements.
18. Responsible for on-site administration functions (creditors, month-end reporting, annual BBBEE / EE reports, annual budget, annual audit prep, BOM’s).
19. Sound knowledge of the Labour Relations Act.
20. Work closely and in tandem with the Factory Manager (Production).
