Responsibilities

1. Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions.
2. Resolve all customer queries efficiently, and within agreed timelines.
3. Provide an efficient administration service through careful and timely planning, reporting, and updating of all related information.
4. Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
5. Work closely with the team/allocated individual to upskill knowledge and skills in Operations and Administration.
6. Manage own development to increase own competencies.
7. Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness.
8. Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers, and senior staff members.
9. Produce program specifications and implement system enhancements by addressing specific business needs and resolving queries.
10. Code, compile, test, and implement applications in compliance with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
11. Support development environments.
12. Responsible for coding standards and peer reviews.
13. Assess, identify, and mitigate potential risks within the IT programming environment.
14. Produce technical specifications and architecture in accordance with agreed standards.
15. Design, code, test, and debug to obtain a robust solution with supporting documentation.
16. Minimize system downtime through proactive identification of potential issues.
17. Ensure maximum system availability by recording incidents for future reference and conducting root cause analysis.
18. Proactively engage with business units and colleagues to understand underlying needs and opportunities.
19. Supervise the work of other developers.
20. Provide technical assistance to fellow developers and other IT team members.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Bm, B.Eng, BSC Eng, BSC Informatics, or related field.
2. 4 – 6 years' experience in programming (Java).
3. Familiar with one or more programming languages as appropriate for the specific requirements of the department.
4. System Design experience is advantageous.
