Driver

Position: Driver
Company: General Heavy Marine (Pty) Ltd
Location: Durban, Clairwood.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced driver to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for transporting clients or handling deliveries in a timely manner. Drivers may also be responsible for obtaining signatures from recipients when delivering large or fragile packages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collection of parts from suppliers.
2. Deliveries to Suppliers/Customers.
3. Drop off and fetch staff and guests at Airport and guest houses.
4. Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most convenient trip.
5. Conduct shopping as required.
6. Sourcing of physical parts if needed.
7. Maintaining the vehicle.
8. Using navigation apps to determine the best route.
9. Conducting monthly vehicle inspections and reporting on damages and repairs.
10. Any other task requirements from management.

Requirements:

1. High school certificate.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. At least 1—2 years working experience in a similar field.
4. Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
5. Driver’s license is essential.
