Job description

Our well-established client in the pharmaceutical industry has a vacancy available for a Doctor Detail Representative in KZN.


Responsibilities:

  1. Educate scripting doctors on specific products.
  2. Displace competitors using clinical evidence on the company's products.
  3. Implement the marketing strategy on the brand.
  4. Make appointments and call timeously on the doctors.
  5. Increase our products' market shares.
  6. Work closely with the sales counterpart to ensure stock availability.
  7. Achieve 9 calls per day.
  8. Maintain a daily appointment ratio of 75% or more.
  9. Manage customer split (specialist and GP split).
  10. Responsible for Territory Management:
  11. Visit 90% of customers every cycle (6 weeks).
  12. Grade customers (80% of customers either A - most important doctors, B - second most important, or C - additional doctors).
  13. Day trips cannot exceed a 120km radius.

Product Knowledge:

  1. Regular updates on products.
  2. Achieve a minimum of 85% on product assessments.
  3. Continuous training on the company's products.

Administration:

  1. Complete weekly planners, expenses, and plan country trips.
  2. Daily completion of calls with comments on repwise.
  3. Other ad-hoc smart sheets and reports.
  4. Analyse data on Power BI and define plans per customer.

Market Share:

  1. Achieve script target for each product.
  2. Achieve strategy for the brand, e.g., Number 1 prescribed in its category.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a medical field (e.g., Biokinetics, Physiotherapy or other).

Experience:

  1. Rookie or experienced.

Skills/Physical Competencies:

  1. Computer literate.
  2. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.

Travel:

The role holder will travel 90% of their time on a mixture of planned and ad-hoc business travel, staying away from home on a regular basis. Motor vehicle and driver’s license required.
