DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DESIGN - EAST LONDON

As the Director of Project Management and Design, you will be a key leader within our organization, responsible for overseeing and driving our property development projects. Your role will involve strategic planning, team management, budgeting, and ensuring design excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES :

Strategic Leadership :

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive vision for project management and design, aligning with the business goals.
2. Drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in project execution.

Team Management :

1. Lead a multidisciplinary team, including architects, engineers, and surveyors.
2. Foster collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth within the team.

Project Planning and Execution :

1. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from concept to completion.
2. Ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery while maintaining quality standards.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.

Budgeting and Cost Control :

1. Develop project budgets, monitor expenses, and manage cost control measures.

Design Excellence and Compliance :

1. Ensure design integrity, functionality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Collaborate with architects and designers to create innovative and sustainable solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement :

1. Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
2. Communicate project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.

REQUIREMENTS :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. [We need to look at this element – PQS essential. Master’s degree]
2. Proven experience in project management and design within the property development sector.
3. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
4. Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, project management software).
