Our client, an internationally based Livestock and Meat trading company, seeks to employ a Director of Commercial Operations in East London, Eastern Cape.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in a similar position.
2. Fluent in the English language is mandatory.
3. Very good computer skills; high MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are a must.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Presentable personality.

Responsibilities:

1. Development of trading channels locally and globally; trading channels include procurement and sales of products as per the company’s plans and strategy.
2. Develop operational procedures for the procurement of core products and employ the necessary workforce to achieve these goals.
3. Assure that company’s exports are smooth and completed.
4. Traveling regionally and internationally representing the company to make deals and negotiate agreements.
5. Working along the value-chain to control spending and develop new methods along the channels.
6. Develop new ideas and business plans in parallel with the company’s strategy.
7. Manage the assigned work and the team on a day-to-day basis.
8. Meeting with stakeholders representing the company.
9. Resolving problems and obstacles that affect the company’s business.
10. Prepare business plans.
11. Other related assigned work by the direct manager.
