Direct Travel Specialist

You will be responsible for handling reservations from initial inquiry to final confirmation, ensuring seamless and personalized service.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of reservations experience in a tour operating environment
2. Professional interaction with suppliers and travel planners via phone and email
3. Creative itinerary planning and design
4. Handling and processing reservations from quote to finalization, including invoicing and travel documents
5. Providing exceptional service to direct guests
6. Proactively selling our products and services
7. Expanding product knowledge through training
8. Familiarity with destinations such as Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, and Seychelles
9. Understanding of FIT and group policies
10. Knowledge of safari offerings
11. Strong communication skills in English
12. Experience with the Tourplan reservations system is an advantage
13. Strong time management and computer proficiency
14. Understanding of the travel industry
15. Attention to detail and excellent written communication
16. High customer focus
17. Creativity, flexibility, energy, and patience
18. Independent, curious, and proactive nature
19. Participating in Saturday, public holiday, and cell phone duty on rotation
20. Working shifts (07:00 - 15:30 & 09:30 - 18:00) on rotation and acting as a backup for colleagues when needed
