Job description

Job Title: Digital Analyst / Product Owner: Integrated Channels

Role: This role reports to Product Manager: Integrated Platforms. The Digital Analyst takes responsibility for formulating requirements and driving delivery for Integrated channels (Host & API) across ABSA presence in African countries.

This is achieved through close collaboration with stakeholders, design, tech, and clients to co-create solutions. This role will be responsible for ensuring delivery throughout the business development lifecycle in accordance with Scaled Agile methodology / KANBAN and will be the key interlock between business and technology.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Solution Definition: Identify, analyze, and define documentation of business requirements in relevant technical delivery framework (epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria).
  2. Table requirements at quarterly Program Planning Increments.
  3. Define stakeholder engagement model, including communication internally or externally.
  4. Ensure clear understanding of expectations and appropriately manage these together with the agreed objectives.
  5. Engage stakeholders to build ongoing support, mutual understanding, and common commitment of objectives to be achieved.
  6. Manage engagement with design and technology to ensure wireframes and user stories are aligned.
  7. Set delivery alignment across multiple planning increments and sprints.
  8. Own and manage the prioritization of Integrated Channel backlog as well as feature grooming sessions to ensure delivery of epics.
  9. Collaborate with tech lead / architect to define tech solution for the business problem.
  10. Participate in UAT, OAT, and LCT testing and sign-off for each project.
  11. Evaluate best practice solutions and trends (across industries) to advise business on potential solutions.
  12. Formulate commercialization plan for each deliverable.
  13. Engage with operations team to deliver end-to-end processes for each deliverable.
  14. Create and actively manage commercialization risk log for each deliverable.
  15. Evaluate As-Is and To-Be resource planning with operations team.
  16. Produce user manuals and process & procedures.
  17. Drive approval from NAPA or brand team where applicable.
  18. Define pilot approach (with success measurements).
  19. Define commercialization knowledge hub & lessons learnt after each PI accessible by the broader digital team.

Key Performance Indicators

  1. Define and manage key performance indicators (including, but not limited to): Client experience.
  2. Call centre volume.
  3. Operations risk.
  4. Client take up, cancellations, complaints.

Reporting

  1. Produce reporting for various stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and status of the projects / deliverables.
  2. Provide consolidated benefits reporting and analysis on projects.
  3. Coordinate or assist in the production of the portfolio's monthly status reports including: Deliverables underway or being planned.
  4. Key milestones and deliverables across the portfolio.
  5. Flow metrics for the delivery team.
  6. The health status of the deliverable.

Education and Experience Required:

Four years experience in the financial services industry, preferably in digital channels or environments. Two years' experience working on technical integration projects.
