DIESEL MECHANIC
Pearl Valley Golf Estate currently has an exciting full-time vacancy for a dynamic individual, who will be part of their Workshop / Mechanical team. The responsibilities of the job incumbent include the following functions:

1. Maintenance of all machinery and equipment. This includes the service of tractors, golf carts, and other farm equipment.
2. Test drive tractors, golf carts, and other farm equipment to ensure everything is working properly.
3. Proactive problem solving.
4. Repair of daily breakages.
5. Completing daily job cards.
6. Making inquiries with technical service providers regarding specialist work.
7. Maintaining workspace, equipment, and tools in a safe and clean manner.
8. Ability to diagnose faults, strip, and re-assemble machines without supervision.
9. Record observations and findings during diagnostic run.
10. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
11. Knowledge on generators and maintaining if required.

The ideal job incumbent must adhere to the following person specifications:

1. Grade 12.
2. Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
3. Computer literacy (MS Word and MS Excel).
4. Flexibility.
5. Detail oriented.
6. Must be able to work independently.
7. Excellent organizational skills.
8. Able to multitask and work under pressure.
9. Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.
10. Willing to do overtime and standby duties.
11. Must be medically and physically fit to carry out work.
12. Obey to Health and Safety regulations.
13. Stress tolerance.
14. Trustworthy.
15. Team player.
16. Positive attitude.
