Diesel Mechanic

Our client is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in their mining operation situated at Kathu, Northern Cape.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Maintenance of equipment
2. Ensuring vehicles under area responsibility are in good condition
3. Inspecting vehicles and analyzing raised faults
4. Participation in a standby team for breakdown maintenance
5. Maintaining customer relations and good housekeeping
6. Equipment inspection and supervision of people, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.

Qualifications Required:

• Grade 12
• Preference given to NQF4 qualified artisans

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Experience with CAT (D10T2) is advantageous
• Minimum of two (2) years operational Earth Moving Equipment experience

Specific Requirements:

• Proficiency with Komatsu PC2000, PC5500, WA1200; Caterpillar D10T2 / D11T; Liebherr R996B / R9800
