Role Overview

• Provides technical and managerial support to the design, project management, and inspection staff responsible for the City's transportation, stormwater, utilities extensions, and miscellaneous capital improvements.
• Prepares designs, cost estimates, scheduling, budget reports, permitting, and technical specifications. Prepares the operating and capital budgets for the division.
• Manages projects, maintains close liaison, and interacts daily with design consultants, surveyors, engineers, City administration, architects, contractors, and inspectors.
• Assists the Development Services Department with the plan review and inspection of the site infrastructure of private development projects to ensure compliance with applicable City regulations.
• Coordinates with other local and state agencies relating to transportation, stormwater, utilities extensions, and miscellaneous capital improvements.
• Responds to inquiries from the public, resolves problems, and represents the City at public meetings as required.
• Performs other related duties as required.
