Job description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Co-ordinator to join our client's team within the manufacturing sector for a 6-month temp contract position. The primary focus of this position is to oversee and streamline the company's sales administrative processes. Additionally, the role includes managing and maintaining accurate inventory control of all stock within the Storeroom.

POSITION INFO :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Generate quotations, place orders, and invoice clients.
  • Review job costings for services performed / to be performed both locally and internationally.
  • Handle all client queries related to stock availability via telephone or email.
  • Liaise with and assist technical staff regarding the delivery and / or collection of spares for breakdowns.
  • Assist the Managing Director or their designated deputy with any ad-hoc duties as required.

Inventory Control :

  • Place orders for parts both locally and internationally.
  • Control and issue parts to Technician(s).
  • Stock parts in inventory and notify recipients when orders arrive.
  • Maintain a catalogue of parts (including serial numbers) and stay updated on price changes.
  • Write and keep records and reports on inventory; approve purchase orders and collaborate with Finance to process invoices.
  • Ensure the correct parts are received and file adjustment claims if shipments are damaged or incorrect.
  • Assist with annual stock takes of inventory in the Stores.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly stock environment at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Matric
  • Additional qualifications will be advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office with great Excel software skills.
  • Proficiency with Xero software is an essential requirement.
  • Experience in a sales administration and / or inventory control role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
