Package: R849 702.00 per annum (All-inclusive remuneration package) consists of 70% basic salary and 30% flexible portion that may be in terms of the applicable.

Requirements:

• A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) as recognised by SAQA in Supply Chain Management.
• 3-5 years’ experience in SCM or procurement processes (or related) and clear understanding of Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management.
• Experience in building strategic working relationships with Departments.
• Experience in working collaboratively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of different backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Ability to think and act strategically and absorb pressure.

Duties:

• To recommend and justify strategic sourcing initiatives and e-procurement supplier enablement initiatives and assist in the development of internal policies and tools that are necessary to implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
• To negotiate strategic sourcing agreements and any changes in supplier contracts in accordance with the Gauteng Provincial Government and National Treasury SCM rules and regulations.
• To recommend the most appropriate and efficient method for formation of strategic sourcing initiatives/agreement for Gauteng Provincial Government from the analysis of Departmental spend, commodity spend, and market trends.
• To develop and maintain awareness of ever-changing commodity-related business trends in the marketplace and possible impact to the Gauteng Provincial Government.
• To decide on whether proposed contract variations and modifications are reasonable and in the best interest of GPG.
