Deputy Constable – Duties:

• Patrols service area and responds to calls for service.
• Enforces criminal and traffic laws.
• Conducts criminal investigations.
• Makes lawful arrests, writes reports, testifies in court.
• Collaborates with other law enforcement, supports victims, builds relationships in the community.

Qualifications to apply:

• TCOLE Certification or currently enrolled in a TCOLE Police Academy.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Be of good moral character.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with the public.
• Valid driver license.
• Firearms proficiency or ability to pass firearms qualification.

SALARY RANGE: $32.94 - $41.18 hourly based on qualifications ($68,515 - $85,654 yearly)

CLOSING DATE: Upon filing position
