- Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of all pastry items for the ship's restaurants and events
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Assist in the training and development of junior pastry team members
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
- Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new pastry items
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve pastry offerings
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef De Partie Pastry or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent training and experience
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Flexible and able to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for pastry
