Demand Planning Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

To ensure the Business Units receive the support, planning to fulfil demand with correct ordering of stock and manage all aspects of the BU requirements related to stock. Additional Support to Customer Services form a major part of daily engagement specifically related to backorders and stock available for BU.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate demand forecasts and manage business unit planning, ordering, and backorder processes.
• Create and process weekly purchase orders while ensuring timely daily backorder releases.
• Maintain accurate master data in SAP and resolve IDoc errors related to purchase orders.
• Oversee new product launches and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) with 3PL providers.
• Reconcile deviations for inbound shipments and verify scrap requests before approval.
• Generate and present weekly/monthly reports to support business decisions.
• Drive continuous improvements in air and sea freight processes for cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISO13485 standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by coordinating required documentation.
• Perform ad hoc tasks to support overall supply chain and demand planning operations.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in SAP modules such as SD, MM, IM, and DMO.
• Good knowledge of ISO13485 standards.
• Ability to analyze data effectively using MS Excel or similar tools
• Familiarity with the healthcare environment/landscape is an advantage.
• Expertise in inventory management, logistics (including 3PL providers), demand fulfillment (purchasing), sales, and finance.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to make timely decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a goal-oriented approach to meeting customer and business objectives. Ability to build good relationships both internally and externally
• Approachable team player with good organizational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• A formal qualification is considered advantageous.
