Demand Planner – Food Manufacturing Industry – R450k – R350k

Overview:
Hire Resolve’s client in the Food Manufacturing Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Demand Planner to join their team in the Western Cape.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately forecast demand for food products.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for demand planning.
3. Develop and maintain demand planning models, using statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
4. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure optimal stock levels.
5. Identify potential risks and opportunities in demand planning and develop strategies to mitigate them.
6. Measure and report on key performance indicators, such as forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.
7. Continuously improve demand planning processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in demand planning within the food manufacturing industry.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
4. Proficiency in demand planning software and tools.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
6. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
7. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Knowledge of food industry regulations and best practices is preferred.
