Debtors Controller (Construction), Mthatha

We are seeking a Debtors Controller (Construction) for a permanent role based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 with 3+ years relevant debtors control experience in the construction industry.
• Must be fluent in English & isiXhosa and resident in Mthatha.
• MS Office literate with advanced Excel skills as well as proficiency on Pastel.

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage debtors’ function, collections, and junior finance staff.
• Notify customers of outstanding documents and ensure credit applications are correct.
• CGIC (Credit Guarantee) / BCM (Building Credit Management) / other credit insurers – liaison and management of processes.
• Credit limit assessment and recommendations and checking of trade references.
• Ensure credit limit adherence and liaise with customers who have reached limit.
• Follow up on debts owing to the company.
• Reconciliation and assessment of customer refunds.
• Product monthly and interim statements for customers.
• Ensure debtors receipts are accurately allocated.
• Manage information and documentation flow affecting debtors.
• Onsite person to assist Finance Manager.
• Ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Authorize petty cash expenditure.
• Attend meetings and ensure systems/procedures are followed.

Salary: R19000.00 – R20000.00 per month.
