DC Dispatch Shunter (Night Shift) - Longmeadow

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Longmeadow has an opportunity available for a DC Dispatch Shunter (Night Shift) to join the team.

Experience & Qualification:

Essential:

1. Grade 12 / Matric
2. Minimum of 1 Year relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.

Responsibilities:

1. The employee will be required to perform as instructed by their supervisors and management.
2. Move pallets from staging to wrapping stations and from wrapping stations to the required dispatch bay.
3. Arrange the pallets to ensure the loading is done in a detailed sequence.
4. Help load the pallets into the required truck as instructed by Dispatch Controller, Supervisor, and Manager.
5. Confirm all packing away according to Dis-Chem standard operating procedures.

Knowledge required:

1. Previous experience and understanding of the physical dispatch process.

4. Proactively communicates to build co-operative relationships with internal customers.
5. Ability to work under pressure.

7. 2nd Language – Read, write, and speak well.

Special conditions of employment:

1. South African citizen.
2. MIE, clear criminal and credit.
3. Driver’s license and/or own reliable transport.
