Job Title: DB Migration Engineer (MS-sql)

Contract Duration: 6 months

Job Description

Experience in large scale SQLServer cloud migrations.

5+ years experience with SQLServer.

Experience migrating databases to RDS and EC2.

Ability to enhance, develop and follow database migration runbooks.

An understanding of security controls from a service delivery viewpoint.

Experience working in a regulated/Prod environment.

Experience working with mission critical environments.

Ability to approach problems in a thorough and logical manner.

Ability to be self-driven in the migration and operate with autonomy.

Experience working with AWS platforms and services.

Ability to write T-SQL commands.

The following skills would be advantageous:

• Experience working with AWS Managed Services (AMS).
• Scripting in languages such as PowerShell, Python.
• Migrating SSxS to RDS SQLServer will be advantageous.
• Scale up to broader Database Engineer Role.
