Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our company.

Job Functions:

Build data products to extract valuable business insights.

In this role, you should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a passion for machine learning and research.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
2. Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.
3. Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
4. Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
5. Combine models through ensemble modeling.
6. Present information using data visualization techniques.
7. Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
8. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.

Job Requirements and Skills:

1. 4-5 years' experience as a Data Scientist.
2. Experience in data mining.
3. Analytical mind and business acumen.
4. Problem-solving aptitude.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
6. Understanding of machine learning and operations research.
7. BSc / BA in Computer Science, Actuarial Science; degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred.
8. Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is an asset.
9. Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
