Job Description

  • Support to implement data privacy policies and procedures: This includes aligning with relevant regulations like GDPR & local data protection laws for South Africa POPIA.
  • Conduct data privacy risk assessments: Identify and assess potential risks to data privacy and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Manage data privacy incidents: Respond to data breaches and other privacy incidents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide data privacy training and awareness: Educate employees on data privacy policies, best practices, and legal obligations.
  • Advise on data processing activities: Ensure that all data processing activities comply with data privacy regulations and internal policies.
  • Work with legal and compliance teams: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure data privacy compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on data privacy regulations: Monitor changes in data privacy laws and regulations and adapt policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain data privacy documentation: Create and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, and other documentation.
  • Support in liaising with external stakeholders: Engage with data protection authorities, regulators, and other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Program Management for Nokia South Africa ISO Certification including but not limited to ISO 9k, 14k, 27k and 45k.
  • Plan audit effort with all BGs and functions present in South Africa.
  • Maintain database of actions to be implemented pre and post-audit.
  • Main point of contact with Internal center of competence for ISO certifications.
  • Organize and plan all external meetings with all needed stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date, evaluate and propose further potential certification for Nokia South Africa based on customer requirements.
  • Support in building Nokia South Africa ESG local activities.
  • Support Sales teams for RfX phases for questions related to Nokia South Africa Certifications.
  • Maintain and make available the certificates of Nokia South Africa.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of data privacy laws and regulations. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Understanding of the different ISO certifications of Nokia South Africa (9k, 17k, 24k, 45k). Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Experience in data privacy management.
  • Experience in Program Management and Reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Relevant certifications: Certifications like CIPP, CIPM, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry: Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.
