We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer who is passionate about designing and implementing next-level data solutions. If you have a stellar academic track record and enjoy working with data, this opportunity is for you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Collaborating with clients to understand their business requirements.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure code compatibility.
• Collecting and integrating data from various sources like databases, APIs, and external providers.
• Aggregating unstructured data into a structured format for data warehousing.
• Optimizing data schemas and ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Processing and analyzing massive datasets.
• Implementing and understanding Data Architecture, including data in motion and data at rest.
• Keeping up with the latest trends in data engineering.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Scala, or Java.
• Solid experience working with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Expertise in Data Modelling and Database Design.
• Experience in designing and implementing efficient ETL pipelines.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Preferred:

• BSc Honours in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• BEng / BSc Engineering.

Who I’m Looking For:

• Finished their studies within the prescribed time.
• Scored predominantly 70% and above in their last two years of study.
