As a Data Analyst you will work collaboratively with compliance, commercial, data science and data engineering teams to analyse, visualise and explain data to stakeholders at all levels and help achieve business objectives.
You must have a strong grasp of mathematical concepts, proven data wrangling experience and the acumen to drive actionable insights through to implementation.
What you’ll be doing
Design, deliver and maintain reporting and monitoring solutions across the entire regulatory space to ensure we are meeting regulatory requirements, including:
Know Your Customer (KYC)
Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Sanctions and Adverse Media
Enhanced Due Diligence / Source of Wealth triggers and journeys
AML Risk Rating
Customer Welfare Interaction Programs
Developing and performing reviews based on regulatory and internal requirements including analysis of operational procedures and practices
Manage the collection, consolidation and governance of compliance data from multiple sources across multiple locations
Assist the Regulatory Compliance and Internal Audit teams by extracting data and answering ad-hoc requests for information from regulatory bodies or data for the filing of regulatory returns
Work closely with heads of department (AML, Data Protection, Regulatory Compliance, Licensing Operations, Customer Welfare, Betting Integrity) to define key operational metrics and provide regular analysis to help shape our strategies.
Work with Country Management and the wider Analytics & Insights teams to assess the commercial impact of regulatory initiatives in their markets, helping them to understand and better manage their risks, and ensure a positive customer experience
Work with the Data Science team to help them develop and train AI and machine learning models to mitigate risk to our business and customers

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities
Educated to degree level in a scientific or quantitative discipline or have at least 2 years work experience in a business intelligence, analytical or finance role.
Demonstrable SQL skills to efficiently query, manipulate and transform large data sets
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, data management and data quality assurance.
Experience working with data engineers and architects to define and design datasets
Experience with Tableau, PowerBI or other data visualisation tools
Experience using data to generate insights and demonstrate their value to influence business decisions
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
Previous experience in the online gaming or other highly regulated industry
Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
Understanding of AML principles (KYC, PEPs, Sanctions, Adverse Media)
Experience with Databricks, Spark, Hadoop or other big data technologies
Experience transforming or analysing data with Python or R
Enjoy experimenting with data (a ‘data junkie’)
