BDO South Africa Cyber Lab is a well-established provider of cyber security services and solutions to clients in South Africa and abroad. BDO Cyber is looking for a suitable candidate to assist with developing its technology and MSSP business, working with different OEMs with partnership agreements with BDO.

Job Description:

This is a strategic pillar of our Cyber Lab business, and experience working for a software reseller, MSSP, in the sales/business development capacity will be instrumental. Experience or knowledge of Microsoft security solutions will be an advantage. BDO has already onboarded more than six OEMs in the areas including EDR, SIEM, Firewall, Email security, Awareness and phishing simulation, etc.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To develop a business plan for comprehensive software & hardware, managed service and professional services offering.
  • Drive a growth strategy across the defined customer base and grow revenues from product sales and services by implementing a robust account planning process.
  • Implement a system or process to understand customer environments, drivers and strategic requirements and align with our solutions and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at different levels.
  • Manage and work closely with Presales consultants and system engineers from BDO or Partners to grow & develop a strong opportunity funnel for your customer base.
  • Work closely with our marketing team to maximise the value of our marketing activities.
  • Be accountable for the sales targets or budgets for the specific area of the business.
  • To develop a solid business plan and strategy to drive growth in revenue from technology solutions and MDR services.
  • To drive opportunity identification and conversion of opportunities related to technology solutions and MDR services.
  • To identify and implement a contact strategy for target customers capturing all relevant detail in the CRM solution.
  • To ensure all forecasting and pipeline management is accurate and reflects the reality of the opportunities open within your customer base.
  • To work with the marketing team to drive marketing campaigns to generate leads and market our products, solutions and services.
  • To manage the practice and a team of presales engineers from BDO and partners.
  • Present in conferences, seminars and meetings as a subject matter expert.

Job Requirements:

What you bring to BDO:

  • Diploma / Degree or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in business development or sales (cybersecurity).
  • Minimum 2 years working with or for reseller of cybersecurity solutions and services.
  • At least 3 years’ experience managing a team.
  • MSFT / Darktrace / Advisory experience (Advantageous).
