Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client is searching for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to enhance our security operations team.

This role requires a seasoned professional with a solid background in cybersecurity practices, including firewall management, email security protocols, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

1. Set up and configure firewalls, and manage email exchange setups, modifications, and DMARC, DKIM, and SPF implementations.
2. Conduct email archiving and oversee managed detection and response (MDR) deployments, including configuration and continuous monitoring.
3. Execute vulnerability management and scanning using various tools, and implement comprehensive vulnerability management.
4. Manage cloud-based initiatives, including cloud migrations and backup and archiving.
5. Provide high-quality customer support by leading client meetings and troubleshooting issues via phone, email, or chat.
6. Maintain rigorous documentation for all projects, ensuring detailed and accurate reporting and record-keeping.
7. Adhere strictly to company processes and policies while aiming to exceed customer expectations through excellent service and understanding of their needs.
8. Support and maintain IT systems, including Microsoft operating systems, application updates, and network configurations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in IT and Cybersecurity.
2. Proficient in configuring and managing network security measures, including firewalls, with in-depth knowledge of email security.
3. Strong experience in managed detection and response, and vulnerability management.
4. Competent in cloud technologies, with a solid track record of managing cloud migrations and backups.
5. Excellent communication skills, capable of producing concise and comprehensive documentation.
6. Ability to work well under pressure, both in team settings and independently.
7. Proven problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
8. Flexibility to work long hours and a self-driven attitude towards achieving goals.
9. Familiarity with Microsoft, Azure, and Mac systems is preferred.
