Cyber Security Architect

Brief Description

Reporting to the Manager- Cybersecurity Architecture & Assurance, the Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cyber security solutions that protect critical assets across the markets.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct research on new areas in security to input to cyber strategy.
2. Design cyber security solutions in line with best practices to ensure deployment of best-in-class solutions.
3. Define cyber security technical requirements and acceptance criteria for new systems.
4. Conduct proof of concepts for cyber security solutions.
5. Lead in testing, implementation, deployment, and commissioning of new solutions.
6. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery in accordance with best practices for solutions deployed.
7. Ensure proper change management and system handover processes are followed.
8. Recommend major upgrades where required and work with the operations team to implement.
9. Ensure all security programs are continually improved to maximize on their returns/benefits.
10. Conduct knowledge transfer to other team members/staff on new or topical areas.

Skills and Competencies Required for the Role

1. Experience in implementing and administering Cyber Security solutions.
2. Working knowledge of project management techniques such as Agile/SAFe is preferred.
3. Demonstrable competencies in the deployment and administration of Cyber Security Solutions such as CyberArk, EDR, Vulnerability Scanners, Firewalls, etc.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology (or equivalent) from a recognized university or any other degree with sufficient cyber experience.
2. Advanced professional information security certifications e.g., CISSP/CISM/CISA/GIAC/CEH/CPTP/OCSP/DevSecOps.
3. Cloud Certification e.g., AWS, Azure.
4. Advanced Networking certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCSP/CCIE/Network+/CompTIA also preferred.
5. At least 3 years proven experience in implementing and administering Cyber Security solutions.
6. Certifications in the use and administration of cyber security tools e.g., CyberArk/Firewalls/IDS/Content Filters/Antivirus is preferred.
