Creditors Clerk

A permanent vacancy exists for a Creditors Clerk stationed at our Cape Town branch. The main purpose of the position is to make sure that the accounts payable are done timeously.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Minimum Matric Certificate
  2. Working knowledge of the SAP system would be an advantage.
  3. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel is essential.
  4. Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans.
  5. Must have own transport.
  6. At least 2 years’ experience and knowledge in the creditors system and reconciliations is essential.

Key Performance Areas: (not totally inclusive)

  1. Vendor | Statement | Invoice - Discrepancies follow up - daily
  2. Filing/Sorting of invoices and recons
  3. Supplier Documentation – all inclusive
  4. Prepare monthly accrual journals and processing thereof.
  5. Daily/Weekly/Monthly cash outflows
  6. Petty cash and cash book related invoices/payments
  7. Reports – All inclusive
  8. Perform supplier reconciliations in preparing requisitions for payments.
  9. Reconcile purchase orders to invoices.
  10. Ensure invoices are accurately captured on SAP and Key fleet daily.
  11. Receive and check all payment requisitions in accordance with Fidelity’s policies and procedures.
  12. Load payments on the online banking system.
  13. Ensure that the banking details on supplier invoices match that of the creditor being paid.
  14. Respond to all queries relating to payments.
  15. Perform monthly supplier reconciliations to support all payments to approved suppliers.
  16. Deal with queries from creditors and staff regarding payments.
  17. Load new creditors on the SAP system.
  18. Provide monthly creditors age analysis for review.
  19. Ad hoc duties as and when assigned.
