Credit Risk Analyst

Our client based in Braamfontein is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst.

Minimum Requirements:

• NQF 7 or in Finance or Commerce related fields is required
• 5 years' experience in Credit Risk Management is required
• Experience in commercial property finance is required
• Experience in financial analysis is preferred
• Advanced competence in MS Excel is required
• Competence in PowerBI will be beneficial

Key Performance Areas, Activities, and Indicators:

• Loan Credit Analyses:
  • Review application information by assessing documents, analyzing information provided, identifying areas of concern and providing feedback to the Portfolio Manager as required.
  • Conduct a detailed financial and credit interpretation (ratios, trends, etc.) by collecting information, analyzing financial information, checking accuracy and drafting credit motivations for consideration in credit decisions weekly.
  • Consider the collateral security structure required by reviewing options, reality checking property valuations in line with market trends and recommending appropriate risk mitigation structures to be included, drafting into the credit motivation and submitting weekly and as required.
• Routine Credit Analysis:
  • Monitor credit risk by reviewing annual statements of existing clients, conducting financial and ratio analysis, identifying any areas of concern and communicating to Workout and Restructure and Operations monthly and as required.
• Market Trend Analysis:
  • Maintain market related credit awareness by remaining up to date on market dynamics and changes, being aware of economic changes and their impact on credit and credit risk and recommend credit position amendments to mitigate changes quarterly and as required.
  • Report on market trends impacting on credit by compiling and analyzing data, interpreting trends and their credit impact and presenting findings and recommendations as required.
