Credit Controller
Location: Westlake Business Park, Tokai, Cape Town
Salary: R18,000 - R25,000 per month (Dependant on experience)
Employment Type: Maternity Contract (ASAP - 30 June 2025)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

About the Role
The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing debtor accounts, ensuring payments are received on time, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth processing of all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage debtor accounts and ensure statements are sent out on time.
- Allocate payments and reconcile remittance to debtor accounts.
- Investigate unpaid invoices and follow up with debtors.
- Review settlement discounts and rebates in line with contractual terms.
- Handle credit note processes and ensure timely resolution of claims.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of debtor accounts.
- Communicate with debtors regarding overdue accounts and account suspensions.
- Ensure debtor details are accurate and up-to-date in the system.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a finance role, preferably in the retail or wholesale sector.
- Previous experience in dealing with chain hardware store groups would be advantageous.
- Finance qualification (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (Acumatica preferred).
- Reside in or near the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
