Our client, a leader in the telecommunication solution industry, is currently looking for a Credit Analytics and Modelling Manager to be based in Sandton / Midrand. The Credit Analytics and Modeling Manager is a modeling expert that applies a credit risk background in the telecommunication industry.

The role requires a good understanding of credit risk, out of the box thinking, and analyzing large quantities of data to positively affect profitability and credit losses.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Credit analytics and risk.
2. Preparing, analyzing, and validating data to perform quantitative analysis for statistical and modeling data.
3. Model creation and Management.
4. Development of models in multiple programming languages.
5. Develop and maintain user requirements, parameters, and configurations of rating systems.
6. Build a culture of respect and understanding across the Organisation.
7. Recognize outcomes which result from effective collaboration between teams.
8. Build co-operation and overcome barriers to information sharing, communication, and collaboration across the organization.
9. Self-Management.
10. Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained.
11. Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering.
2. 5-10 years' experience in Telecommunications or credit risk.
3. Experience in Credit risk modelling including IFRS9 is preferred.
