THE OPPORTUNITY

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Analyst to join our Credit team. This role takes credit operations to a whole new level, encouraging you to exceed business needs and work in a collaborative team who are just as passionate as you to provide exceptional experiences.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To prepare and assess credit applications for Retail Small Business and Retail Private customers while adhering to the MBFS SA prescribed credit policies and risk parameters within the agreed KPI target range. Ensure a high focus on brand, customer, dealer, external service providers and stakeholders’ relationship management by ensuring effective and efficient communication. To support the company strategy of achieving projected operating plan and targets without compromising risk to the organisation.

WHAT DO YOUR DUTIES ENTAIL?

  1. Credit Assessment: Assess, analyse, evaluate and recommend course of action for credit applications based on customer financial data including payment history, proof of income, financial statements and bank statements analysis to determine the borrower’s credit worthiness. Making decisions and recommendations within prescribed policies, authority limits and risk criteria.
  2. Business Relationships: Build and maintain strong business relationships with relevant stakeholders throughout the value chain i.e., Dealers, MBFS employees, MBFS Management Team and External Stakeholders.
  3. Collaborative Initiatives: Liaison with both internal & external customers by having regular meetings, providing advice & recommendations on applications, ensuring excellent service levels are maintained & company core values are adhered to and ensure that timeous feedback is provided.
  4. Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Ad Hoc responsibilities as required, for e.g., reporting and taking part in projects.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge relating to Credit lending principles in Retail Credit environment for Passenger Cars and Vans.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 3 years’ working experience within Financial Service Industry in vehicle and asset finance environment.
  • Grade 12 and 3 years relevant qualification (M+3).
  • Retail Credit and Lending experience advantageous.
  • NCA Accreditation.
