Job description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content Production: Lead the creation of engaging digital content for all Sportscene platforms, including video, social media, and web. Oversee production of major campaigns such as PUTMEON and CAPSULE, as well as regular series like Weekend Turn Up, Sole Women, and Culture Conversations.
  2. Brand Engagement: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to produce content that aligns with Sportscene’s cultural vision and resonates with our audience.
  3. Studio Management: Manage Sportscene Studios in Cape Town and Johannesburg, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality production, and innovation in content creation.
  4. Event Production: Alongside the marketing team, strategically plan and produce culture-led experiences and events that engage our community and elevate Sportscene’s brand presence.
  5. Content Strategy: Develop and execute a digital content strategy that strengthens Sportscene’s cultural relevance, driving engagement and brand loyalty.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other teams including merchandising, brand, and social media to deliver content that supports Sportscene’s overall business objectives.
  7. Reporting & Analysis: Track performance of digital content and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Stay updated on the latest trends in digital marketing, streetwear, and sneaker culture.

Qualifications And Experience

  1. Diploma or degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field is a bonus.
  2. 3+ years of experience in digital content production, with a proven track record of creating impactful, culturally relevant content.
  3. Experience working in fashion, streetwear, or youth-driven brands is highly desirable.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage and produce digital series and culture-led experiences.
  5. Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, video production, and social media tools.
  6. Strong understanding of streetwear culture, sneaker trends, and the South African youth market.

  2. Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Technical Expertise: Knowledge of video production, editing software, and content creation tools.
  4. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop a long-term content strategy that aligns with Sportscene’s brand and business objectives.
  5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly.
  6. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
