This role involves interpreting GA drawings and technical specifications, preparing detailed project costings, sourcing suppliers of technical componentry, and project cost management.
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Costing Management, Engineering, Cost Estimating, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in technical sourcing and costing, preferably in the manufacturing or marine industry (Aluminium Boats).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in sourcing software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of boats and/or boat building construction processes is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of basic imports and exports is advantageous.
Understanding of Pastel Accounting programmes is advantageous, but not essential.
Sound technical/engineering background.
