Costing Engineer/Estimator (Marine)

This role involves interpreting GA drawings and technical specifications, preparing detailed project costings, sourcing suppliers of technical componentry, and project cost management.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Costing Management, Engineering, Cost Estimating, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in technical sourcing and costing, preferably in the manufacturing or marine industry (Aluminium Boats).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in sourcing software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of boats and/or boat building construction processes is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic imports and exports is advantageous.
• Understanding of Pastel Accounting programmes is advantageous, but not essential.
• Sound technical/engineering background.
• Relationship management skills.
• Project costing and management experience.
