Role description

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

  1. Coordinate accreditation visits to educational institutions.
  2. Provide assistance to the accreditation panel during accreditation visits.
  3. Collate information and evaluations during accreditation visits.
  4. Coordinate the submission and assessment of programme accreditation annual reports from institutions of higher learning.
  5. Maintain the operational administration of the accreditation policy.
  6. Stay abreast of SACPCMP programme accreditation policies and standards.
  7. Stay informed on university qualification accreditation requirements, CHE and SAQA.
  8. Oversee the administration of new and current university accreditations for university qualifications in the CM, CPM and CHS sub-functional areas.
  9. Oversee programme accreditation processes and activities.
  10. Handle all queries concerning accreditation, qualification evaluation, assessment provider evaluation, youth development, student chapters and RPL.
  11. Oversee the development of the student chapter.
  12. Plan student chapter initiatives in conjunction with the executive and marketing/stakeholder communication functions.
  13. Oversee student chapter applications and registrations.
  14. Source WIL programme employers (placements of graduates).
  15. Monitor the current environment for career opportunities for student chapter members.
  16. Oversee processes for candidacy programme accreditation.
  17. Process applications for qualification evaluations.
  18. Process assessment provider evaluations.
  19. Process RPL applications.
  20. Assist RPL candidates.
  21. Conduct RPL workshops.
  22. Research and create presentations.
  23. Develop written submissions for committee meetings.
  24. Prepare and present the budget for the accreditation and RPL departments annually.
  25. Effectively manage the accreditation and RPL department budget.

Requirements

  1. Grade 12 with Grade 12 English (C: between sixty per cent and seventy per cent).
  2. National Diploma and/or B Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in public administration/management or a related field.
  3. Minimum five years’ experience with exposure in the built environment.
  4. Minimum two years’ experience monitoring small team work output.
  5. Valid unendorsed driver’s licence.
  6. Legislation (knowledge)

  10. Council for the Built Environment (CBE) Act.
