Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:


  • Diploma NQF Level 5 is essential.
  • A 3-5 years’ operational experience in Maintenance, Engineering and Asset Management is essential.
  • MS Office at intermediate level.
  • Bachelor’s degree (3 years - 360 credits) will be advantageous.
  • Valid Code Driver’s license is required.

Key Performance Outputs

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Group Manager Maintenance Engineering and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:


  • Conduct inspections and audits of Contractor activity on site.
  • Monitor functional contracts to ensure effective planning for their renewal through SCM processes.
  • Assist with the drafting and scoping of SCM documents and templates and submit in accordance with DLA’s.
  • Oversee and coordinate the payment of functional suppliers.
  • Reconcile travel budget for functional area.
  • Track functional spend and ensure compliance to annual budget.
  • Introduce cost saving initiatives to ensure the containment of costs.
  • Respond to requests, queries and escalated complaints.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and customers to enable high satisfaction levels.
  • Maintain an effective network and timeous communication in area of influence.
  • Build, support and maintain healthy internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organizational goals. Implement remedial action when required.
  • Engage with all airport stakeholders when reviewing ISO systems, procedures and work instructions.
  • Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures. Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.

  • Ensure all source documentation is confidentially maintained, securely stored and filed in accordance with Standard Operating procedures.
