Nature of employment: The successful incumbent will be employed on a permanent basis after completion of a probationary period.
Experience:
The successful incumbent will have at least five (5) or more years’ experience as a contract manager.
Experience within the earthing and lightning protection industry is an added advantage.
Experience within electrical or construction field is an added advantage.
Formal education and qualifications as a minimum requirement:
Matric
Qualification in construction or relevant field
Must be computer literate and proficient on Microsoft software
Practical experience and knowledge of SANS Code of Conduct and SABS Standards or relevant codes of practice
Own transport is mandatory
Ability to read construction drawings

Ability to liaise effectively and competently with electrical, structural and consulting engineers, architects and mining professionals
Familiarity with SANS Code of Conduct and SABS standards and other relevant codes of practice.

Responsibilities:
Effective site planning and planning of teams, ensuring efficient use of team's time to complete work in shortest possible time and to ensure targets are reached.
Quality control of physical work and installations on site.
Overseeing of outstanding work per project, progress reports, deadlines, responsibilities and manage changes to project scope should such be required.
Attending site meetings and ensuring HHK is represented in a reasonable manner.
Transparent, clear, professional and courteous communication ensuring that deliverables fall within the scope of work and the contract value.
Control and maintenance of tools. A weekly detailed report of "tools" control performed by yourself must be submitted to the directors by Monday morning.
On site supervision and random checks - ensuring full utilization and productivity.
Vehicle control - ensuring vehicles are kept in a neat, well-maintained manner by all drivers.
Control installation of materials and equipment to ensure compliance with drawings and site specifications.
Supply the accounts department on a daily basis with information such as absenteeism, misuse or loss of tools, etc.
Administration and paperwork, relating to your position and related duties.
Ensure compliance with all requirements on site regarding health, safety and environmental policies, manuals and procedures.
Ensure site instructions are received for any extra work required on site prior to work being carried out.
Complete invoice and test certificate as soon as job has been completed.
Report all incidents which have, or could result, in personal injury or environmental damage.
Arrange in-house meetings to discuss progress and problems on site with staff.
Ensure HHK staff have been issued with correct safety equipment before departing for site.
Costing of jobs to be done daily.
Stock control - stock checks and strict control of materials.
Effective management of the Cape Town branch.
Effective planning of teams, ensuring efficient use of Team’s time to complete works in the shortest time and ensure targets are reached.
Quality control of the physical works and installations on site.
On site supervision on various larger projects as required.
