Purpose of Position: To perform Haematology Pathology tasks to ensure proper workflow in the Haematology laboratory.

Requirements:

• FC Path(SA) (Required)
• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required)
• MBChB (Required)
• M Med (Pathology) (Required)

Required Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise Clients on life threatening results
• Continuous Education for Pathology laboratories
• Maintain client relations to promote the image of Ampath
• Marketing
• Oversee the standard of the work performed, overall operation and administration in the laboratory
• Promotion of Professional Standards and Expertise
• Provision of Continuous Pathology/Clinical Laboratory Service: Consultation with doctors
• Control and monitoring of results
• Result verification
• Reporting
• Participation in Peer Group
• Sign-out all abnormal results according to criteria
