Purpose of Position:
To perform Haematology Pathology tasks to ensure proper workflow in the Haematology laboratory.

Requirements:
FC Path(SA) (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required), MBChB (Required), M Med (Pathology) (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advise Clients on life threatening results
  2. Continuous Education for Pathology laboratories
  3. Maintain client relations to promote the image of Ampath
  4. Marketing
  5. Oversee the standard of the work performed, overall operation and administration in the laboratory
  6. Promotion of Professional Standards and Expertise
  7. Provision of Continuous Pathology/Clinical Laboratory Service: Consultation with doctors
  8. Control and monitoring of results
  9. Result verification
  10. Reporting
  11. Participation in Peer Group
  12. Sign-out all abnormal results according to criteria
