Job Title: Supervisor: Construction (Power Stations) Projects
Applications:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a construction supervisor in electrical infrastructure construction.
The ability to forge and sustain sound relationships with employees and to take responsibility to create and maintain such relationships.
Exceeding standards and quality through monitoring team performance and executing solution-driven project supervision through encouragement, support, and providing feedback and structure.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
5 years minimum experience within Power generation.
Legal Liability.
Excavation Supervisor.
HIRA.
First Aid Level 1.
IRCON (Construction Regulations).
Construction Regulations.
Fire fighting.
Explain and perform fall arrest techniques when working at heights (US).
Working at heights: Fall arrest and rescue (US).
Valid driver's license.
Be medically fit with a valid medical certificate of fitness.
Additional Qualifications: N6 qualification with a valid vocational trade test.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Execute daily construction work as per instructions.
Complete weekly time sheets.
Complete DSTI daily prior to work commencing.
Complete site diaries daily.
Manage petty cash weekly.
Conduct weekly observations (SOC's).
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL:
Site security.
Management of vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment.
Arrange, expedite, and follow up material procurement and delivery.
QUALITY ASSURANCE:
Assist in identifying root causes of deviations.
Monitor quality assurance and quality control.
RESOURCES MANAGEMENT:
Supervision of staff.
Responsible for work allocation and execution.
Time management.
Ensuring legal site compliance.
Training and mentoring.
Effective application of project resources.
Ongoing effort to improve supervision and better team performance.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
Ensure compliance with health and safety and relevant legislation.
Support and ensure compliance with environmental management.
Provide a safe and healthy working environment.
Participate in health and safety systems and their improvement.
Report any situation which is unsafe or unhealthy.
