Construction Lead opportunity working for a major tier one main contractor who have a large flagship scheme which they require an experienced Construction Lead for.

About the role of Construction Director

This Construction Lead will oversee the build of a major commercial scheme from the ground up through to the fit-out and handover.

They will manage all aspects of construction, which will be made up of multiple phases, and lead a large team of managers.

Construction Director responsibilities

• Working closely with the Project Director and Operations Director to successfully deliver this scheme, which is in excess of £180 million.
• Managing a large team that will include Project Managers, Site Managers, and assistants.
• Coordinating design, commercial, and programme aspects to drive the project forward.
• Guiding project teams and maintaining oversight of various parts in a fast-paced project environment.
• Representing the main contractor positively and communicating effectively with the client.

Requirements for Construction Director

• The ideal Construction Director will have experience working for a tier one main contractor and a successful track record of delivering a major scheme in excess of £100 million.
• This Construction Director will have worked on commercial, retail, or residential projects and possess a strong understanding of construction processes.
• The ideal Construction Director will come from a technical or engineering background, as there will be complex obstacles to navigate.
